AF JERSEY EXAMS

EXAMINATIONS

The AF in Jersey is a centre of exams for both the French Ministry of Education (exams in general French based on the European Framework for languages) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Paris for vocational exams.

. THE DELF AND DALF EXAMINATIONS

DELF and DALF diplomas are official French diplomas granted by the French Ministry of Education. There are now 6 different units which match the levels of the Common Eurpean Framework for Languages.

Candidates may enter for and pass them independently of each other in the country(ies) of their choice. Candidates can sit the different units at their own pace: they can always build on those they have already successfully passed. They may, if they wish, take the examinations over a number of years, or on the contrary, sit several at the same examination session. DELF and DALF are thus adaptable to the candidate's own speed and style of learning: intensive, extensive or teaching yourself. Candidates of all nationality may enter the examinations, without exception. No previous certificate is required for the DELF level 1, nor any specific proof of preparation or of attainment.

CCIP EXAMINATIONS

Several exams are available and assess the candidate's ability to communicate in French at his/her workplace in a familiar and predictable context and assess the candidate's ability to handle most work requirements in French.

There are also professional certificates available in the following domains: Legal French, Secretarial French, French for tourism and catering, French for scientists and technicians.
